Canon Rebel T2i Review: Great Value for the Money
I shopped around quite a bit for a new dSLR camera before I found the Canon Rebel. I read so many reviews and product specs, and I did read a few negative things about this particular model, too. However, I ultimately found that the positive attributes in this camera were too impressive to pass up, so I decided to go with it. Because of the different reviews I read when I was shopping around, I wanted to write my own Canon Rebel T2i review and share my experiences with it.
Advanced Image Quality
One of the things that attracted me to this camera and inspired me to write a Canon Rebel T2i review was the advanced image quality of this model. Whereas most other models in this price range have a 15.1-megapixel CMOS, this one has an 18.0-megapixel CMOS. It also has an expanded sensitivity range with ISO 100 – ISO 6,400/ 12,800. Plus, it also has one of the fastest shutter speeds of cameras in its price range with a 3.7 frames per second shutter speed. In use, I’ve been able to capture some incredible images, include action shots that other cameras may have missed. The images are absolutely gorgeous.
Video Capabilities
Now, if you have ever had a digital camera that promises to double as your video camera, too, you likely know that a lot of these dual-function devices end up turning out some pretty low-quality video shots. In my Canon Rebel T2i review, I had to mention how impressive the video capabilities are in this camera. First, the live view viewfinder has 95 percent coverage, which is pretty standard, but the image is captured with 1080p at 30 frames per second. It can also handle 720p at 60 frames per second. Other models available in this level of camera don’t come close to offering that, and some don’t offer video at all.
Canon Rebel T2i Review – Is the Price Worth It?
One of the most common comments I read when I was sorting through other reviews is that the price of the camera wasn’t worth it. However, in my Canon Rebel T2i review, I went over several key areas where the Canon model is clearly head and shoulders above the competition. If you want a truly dual-function device that can capture impressive images in high quality, this is by far the best choice. When you compare it to other products of a similar level, you will find that this camera gives you the best quality possible as well as top-notch features, too.
